The copper crucible for Vacuum Arc Remelting (VAR) furnace, also known as VAR water-cooled copper mold, functions not only as a water-cooled ingot forming mold but also serves as the anode of the electric arc circuit. It carries large DC current under high vacuum conditions. With water cooling, a solidified metal skull forms on the inner wall, isolating the high-temperature liquid metal pool and enabling melting free from refractory contamination.

• The copper tube of the crucible is manufactured either by seamless forging in one piece or by rolling and welding copper plates.
• CuCrZr has a high softening temperature and excellent resistance to deformation.
• A safe and reliable cold welding process is adopted.
• Forging employs hot forging followed by cold forging, which yields fine grains and high tensile strength.

CuCrZr(C18150):

• Chemical Composition：Cr:0.5-1.5%,Zr:0.08-0.30%,balance Cu.
• Properties：σb≥350MPa,σ ≥80% IACS,HB≥100,δ≥20%
• Weld inspection standard: Complies with GB3323-87, Grade Ⅰ-Ⅱ.
• Pressure test: Hydrostatic test at 1.5 MPa, no leakage after 30 minutes.
